2022 at PC Fabrications – What a Year

We have jumped into the new year headfirst and are already up and running with some new and exciting projects. All while this is happening, we can’t help but look back on the previous year and reflect on what we achieved, what we’d do differently, and most importantly what we’ve got to come.

2022 brought us a lot of new opportunities. Which as busy as that made it, it allowed for us to explore new areas of work, collaborate and work with new customers and get stuck into some exciting projects.

All this in turn allowed us to make some improvements to our workshop:

LED Lighting Conversion – We upgraded all our lighting throughout the shop to create a brighter, more inviting environment for both our fabricators and customers. Converting our existing lighting to LED not only helps reduce our energy consumption, but also creates a much more comfortable place to work for all our staff.

Additional Press Brake – We now have a third press brake within our arsenal to meet the demand of work we have going through the shop. This 4.2 metre long Bystronic AFM EP 160 is capable of 160 tonnes of bending pressure. It’s got a variety of technology built in to assist the operator to achieve the most complex of folds. It drastically improves our workflow and productivity.
With the purchase of this press brake, we decided to have a shuffle of machinery within the shop to create a better production line when it comes to cutting and folding sheet metal.

Improved Transport – Out with the old and in with the new. Although we don’t offer delivery nationwide, from delivering locally to collecting materials and samples, we heavily rely on our flatback van. That’s why we find it important to keep it well maintained and up-to-date, which is why we have said goodbye to our previous transit and have upgraded to a new Mercedes Sprinter.
Not only does this provide a reliable form of transport for our goods and services, it also allows us to conform with modern emission regulations for the areas of Leeds and Bradford. It also contains a range of safety features to keep our staff safe when driving it.

Renovated Canteen – The canteen has had a renovation to create a modern, welcoming space for our staff and customers to use at their leisure.

In summary we’ve had a very productive year, with an abundance of new customers and projects. All of this has allowed us to create some big improvements, increase the size of our workforce and take on more customers than ever! We look forward to what 2023 has in store!
